- TIME (FOR TEAMS): 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. (detailed agenda coming soon, times may change)
- LOCATION: Lapeer Center for Innovation, 170 Millville Road, Lapeer, MI 48446
- COST: $250 per team ($50 discount if you sign up before June 22nd!)
- After registering your team you will receive a follow-up email with payment instructions
- Payment due by 7/9/18
- Agenda and detailed information will also be sent to teams
- 24 teams, 8 qualification matches and all play in the eliminations
- A waitlist will be created in the event a team has to cancel
- Teams will be allowed to load in Friday night from 6-8pm to make for a smoother start on Saturday
- Awards will be given at closing
- We will have air conditioning in the main gym holding the event and the pit area this year!
NOTE: For those that have been to ROBO-CON in the past, the FRC portion included letting the public drive your robots in matches on the full field. This will no longer be a part of the FRC portion in the main gym. Instead, it will be located on a half field near the other robotics fields for the ROBO Driver's Academy and manned by our team members with robots for them to still drive. A change was needed due to our increased attendance and also the desire of the host teams to offer an off season event for FRC teams to play the game one more time.
What you are signing up for is a full off-season event! So come ready to compete and have fun with other FRC teams for another round of Power Up!
* If you would like to help out with the ROBO Driver's License portion while here, you are more than welcome to do so! Just bring a practice, demo or older robot that you would allow kids to drive for 2.5 minutes and be with them while doing so. (they love the ones that can shoot something!) We will be cycling the robots throughout the day for this activity.
Just note in the comments when registering that you'd like to help us with the public driving as well and we'll send info about that as the event gets closer.
